Denture repair

Denture repair is the fixing of a cracked, chipped, or broken denture, or the replacement of a loose or missing denture tooth.

A denture can crack if it is dropped or if the fit changes. A tooth may chip or come loose. The ADA says that if your denture breaks, cracks or chips, or if one of the teeth becomes loose, you should call your dentist immediately. Do not try to fix it with household glue, because glue can harm the denture and your gums. Many repairs can be done by a dental lab, and some can be finished quickly. A repair does not always solve a poor fit, and a reline or rebase may be better. Bring all the pieces with you. See complete denture and our denture repair page.
