MO HealthNet (Missouri Medicaid) dental

MO HealthNet is Missouri's Medicaid program. It covers dental care for some groups, such as children and pregnant women, but dental coverage for other adults is limited.

MO HealthNet is the name of Missouri's Medicaid program. The state Department of Social Services says it offers comprehensive dental services for children, pregnant women, the blind, and residents of a nursing facility.

For other adults, coverage is limited. It includes dental services and care related to trauma of the mouth, jaw, teeth, or other contiguous sites. Rules and covered services can change, so check with the state. As of October 2026, the state's dental page is the place to confirm.

HealthCare.gov describes Medicaid as an insurance program that provides health coverage to some low-income people, families and children, with benefits that vary between states. Not every dentist takes MO HealthNet. Ask the office first. See Medicare Advantage dental and the insurance and financing page.
