Invisalign

Invisalign is a brand name for a system of clear aligners, a series of removable plastic trays used to straighten teeth.

Invisalign is one brand of clear aligners. Cleveland Clinic lists Invisalign and ClearCorrect as examples of clear aligners. The process starts with a scan of your teeth and a treatment plan that maps the moves. You then wear a series of custom trays, switching to the next tray about every two weeks. You take them out to eat and clean your teeth. Treatment may also use small bumps called aligner attachments and, at times, interproximal reduction. Wearing the trays as directed matters for the result. A retainer is used after treatment. Your dentist will talk with you about whether it fits. See our Invisalign page.
